MNP Petroleum announces Results of Annual General Meeting of Stockholders

Baar, Switzerland, February 21, 2014

MNP Petroleum Corp. (“MNP”or the “Company”) (TSX-V: MNP; OTCBB: MNAP) is pleased to announce the results of its Annual General Meeting of Stockholders held February 20, 2014 in Thalwil, Switzerland, which was attended, in person or by proxy, by shareholders holding 87,615,540 shares, or approximately 51% of the shares entitled to vote at the meeting.

Shareholders re-elected incumbent directors, Heinz J. Scholz, Michael J. Velletta, Richard Schenz, Werner Ladwein and Darcy Spady to the Board of Directors. The Board's recommendation of BDO Visura International AG as the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm was ratified and the amendment of Company’s 2011 stock option plan was adopted with shareholder approval.
